The 77^th IIRB Congress was held 11^th-12^th February 2020 at the Hotel Le Plaza in Brussels, Belgium. An international audience of 270 participants attended this congress.

IIRB Congresses are the platform for knowledge transfer and networking in the sugar beet sector. Current topics of sugar beet cultivation were presented in seven plenary sessions, and 90 poster contributions were shown in two poster sessions.
