IIRB SEMINAR 2014

The interest in improving tillage methods has increased considerably in recent years. Manufacturers of agricultural machinery have reacted by developing new techniques, tested by different institutes in field trials and in practice.
The 2014 IIRB seminar "Tillage and drilling advances - increasing efficiency in sugar beet cultivation" put together the information available from these trials. The seminar focused on the effect and potential of strip tillage and equal distance tillage and provided insight into high speed drilling and mechanical weed control.
The seminar was linked to the machinery exhibition 'Beet Europe' taking place in Dobieszów the 2nd October 2014 (10 km from Zakrzów).
