IIRB SEMINAR 2015 'RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT'

IIRB held its 2015 seminar ‚Resistance mana ge ment‘ 10th-11th September 2015 in Frauenkirchen (A) in cooperation with AGRANA Research and Innovation Center (ARIC) and AGRANA Zucker GmbH.
An effective resistance management is vital to maintain the effectiveness of current crop protec tion. In its four sessions, the seminar covered topical information on resistance management in fungicides, resistance against rhizomania, as well as insecticide and herbicide resistance management. Invited key note speakers presented overviews on each topic, supported by reports on new research findings. During a field trip to different sugar beet trials in the surroundings of Frauenkirchen, intensive discussions with speakers and breeding company representatives were possible.
The seminar attracted about 130 participants from more than 20 countries.
